I am outraged that M&S are selling a plastic toy Spitfire with “made in Germany” on the pack. I understand that we should move on and I have. I have owned German cars, promoted their food and love their country. But I cannot see the Spitfire “made in Germany” on sale without stamping my feet. I was born jus 7 years after the war. “Never in the history of human conflict has so much been owed my so many to so few” Said Churchill of the brave young Spitfire pilots. Yet here we are around 70 years on from the Battle of Britain selling Spitfires “made in Germany” in our flagship retailer. Churchill, I am sure, like me would be outraged. Join in a campaign to get them removed from sale. Use Twitter and Facebook to raise the profile in memory of those brave twenty somethings who died for us so young.
